School of Health & Medical Sciences (SHMS) Staff Communications
To help keep staff across the School of Health & Medical Sciences informed and connected, they receive SHMS Monthly, our School newsletter. This includes news, staff features and events from across SHMS and is shared monthly on a Wednesday.
In addition to this, an SHMS events bulletin is shared weekly on a Monday (with the exception of the Monday before staff receive SHMS Monthly).
Research staff receive a termly SHMS research newsletter, which includes research news highlights, research staff successes and upcoming research events.
Staff also receive a range of University-wide communications to connect them with news and events across City St George’s. These include:
- StaffWire, a weekly newsletter including University successes and key news from all our campuses
- StaffLife, a monthly community, development and wellbeing newsletter
- A termly Research & Innovation Bulletin
- A Monthly News Update from the Office for Institutional Equity & Inclusion

SHMS Student Communications
SHMS students across both our campuses receive ‘The Beat’, our School student newsletter. This is shared twice a term and includes news, events and opportunities across SHMS.
SHMS students also receive Campus News, a University-wide student newsletter sharing news events from across all our campuses as well as keeping students informed of University-wide campaigns and initiatives, and support and services available to all City St George’s students.
